Our Baby Unit at Urmston Day Nursery is a warm, peaceful, and nurturing space where your little one can begin exploring the world safely and confidently. We are dedicated to making every child feel right at home from day one.

Supporting Every Baby’s Growth and Development
All activities within our Baby Unit are carefully planned with each child’s age and individual needs in mind, ensuring every baby enjoys a truly personalised experience.
Within the baby room progress records will be available for you to access whenever you wish from our software system and parent app.
The babies records are based on the Early Years Foundation Stage, which focuses on three prime areas:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication and Language Development
- Physical Development
As we ensure an adult to child ratio of 1:3 making the transition from home to nursery is made as comfortable as possible.
Before babies are weaned we do ask for parents to provide their choice of made up formula. As baby progresses to solids our cook will blend our food to the consistency suitable for the individual baby.
